Jack Owen gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in May of 2025 on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Owen's strong effort led Viewmont over Bountiful and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings have been struggling on the road and they will enter the contest having lost five straight away games dating back to last season.
