Soccer Game Preview: Santa Barbara vs. Dos Pueblos

The Santa Barbara Dons are taking a road trip to challenge the Dos Pueblos Chargers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Santa Barbara is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against San Marcos on Wednesday. Santa Barbara fell 2-0 to San Marcos. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 567th, while the Royals are ranked 97th).

Meanwhile, Dos Pueblos didn't have quite enough to beat Pacifica on Wednesday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Chargers have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Chris Barreto Ordonez, who's now up to two this season.

Santa Barbara's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12-1. As for Dos Pueblos, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3-2.
