Volleyball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Warriors vs. Whittier Christian Heralds

The Heritage Christian Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Whittier Christian Heralds at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Whittier Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Heritage Christian, who comes in off a win.

Heritage Christian took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Village Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Crusaders on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Heritage Christian took Village Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-18, 21-25, 25-17, 18-16.

Meanwhile, Whittier Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Valley Christian.

Whittier Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-15.

Heritage Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Whittier Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-20-1.

Everything went Heritage Christian's way against Whittier Christian when the teams last played back in September, as Heritage Christian made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
