The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Kamiak nor Meadowdale made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Knights fell 5-1 to the Mavericks. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Kamiak got a good showing from Cole Armstrong-Hoss, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Armstrong-Hoss a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Kamiak saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Fetty, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Kamiak's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Meadowdale, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kamiak will square off against Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 3.3, the Timberwolves 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Meadowdale, they will head out to square off against Shorecrest at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Scots have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
