Softball Recap: Onaga Buffaloes vs. Centralia Panthers
Onaga fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Centralia on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 13-12. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (11), the Buffaloes still had to take the loss.
Onaga got a big performance out of Abbie Ringel, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ember Conger, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
This is the second loss in a row for Onaga and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Centralia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Looking ahead, Onaga will look to defend their home field on Monday against Valley Heights at 4:30 p.m. Centralia will be paying especially close attention to the Buffaloes' game: after the Buffaloes face off against Blue Valley, they'll take on Centralia again at 4:30 p.m. on the 27th.
