Basketball Game Preview: Oakmont Regional Spartans vs. North Middlesex Regional Patriots

The Oakmont Regional Spartans will take on the North Middlesex Regional Patriots in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with three losses in a row dating back to last season, Oakmont Regional turned things around against Gardner on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wildcats 39-37.

Oakmont Regional now has a winning record of 1-0.

As for North Middlesex Regional, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the wrong side of .500 (0-1), but they'll be hoping to turn things around this year.

Oakmont Regional couldn't quite finish off North Middlesex Regional in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 and fell 37-34. Can Oakmont Regional avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
