Basketball Recap: John Paul the Great Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Ezra Mouton and Riley Lormand

If John Paul the Great Academy was feeling good fresh off their 58-22 takedown of Freedom Life Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Guardians fell just short of Faith Training Christian Academy by a score of 44-42 on Thursday. Despite the defeat, John Paul the Great Academy had strong showings from Riley Lormand, who shot 67% from the field en route to 13 points and four steals, and Ezra Mouton, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 14 points and four steals. Mouton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games he's played dating back to last season. Nicholas Odinet was another key player, putting up four points and six rebounds.
