Basketball Recap: Charleston Comes Up Short

Charleston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 68-35 loss at the hands of the Elkins Elks. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Elkins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.

Charleston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elkins, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Subiaco Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Elkins' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games.
