Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeview Mustangs vs. Eureka Hornets

Ridgeview hasn't had much luck against Eureka recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Mustangs will welcome the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Ridgeview has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ridgeview lost 16-7 to Deer Creek-Mackinaw on Monday.

Ridgeview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Crowley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Another was Kane Aupperle, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Meanwhile, Eureka waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 5-2.

Eureka's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgeview, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.
