Softball Recap: Seffner Christian Takes a Loss

Seffner Christian fell victim to Lakeland Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 12-0. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Seffner Christian's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-6. As for Lakeland Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian will venture away from home to take on Indian Rocks Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeland Christian, they will head out to face off against Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Calvary Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so Lakeland Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
