Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 28-19 to the Clay County Christian Academy Eagles.

Clay County Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Emmie Bowen, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Bowen also posted a block, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Spurlin, who posted two points and five steals.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Clay County Christian Academy, they moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clay County Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-24 defeat against Tabernacle on the 30th.
