Basketball Game Preview: Jordan Falcons vs. Clayton Comets

The Jordan Falcons will challenge the Clayton Comets on Friday. Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Clayton likes a good challenge.

Jordan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They strolled past Pine Forest with points to spare, taking the game 69-52. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Trojans are ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Clayton had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.4 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They blew past the Patriots 89-48. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Jordan is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. Clayton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8.
