Basketball Recap: Ooltewah Comes Up Short

If Ooltewah was feeling good fresh off their 49-28 takedown of Ridgeland last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ooltewah Owls took a blow against the Cleveland Blue Raiders on Friday, falling 81-28. The Owls were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Raiders from their previous meeting back in January of 2023.

Tim Matthews continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cleveland, going 5 for 8 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Miolen, who posted nine points.

Ooltewah's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Cleveland, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Loudon the next time they take the court. Cleveland will head out to face Loudon at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Ooltewah will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
