Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Hornets are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Moberly on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Hannibal with a sharp 66-42 victory. That looming 66-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.

Mexico better focus on containing Kish Jacobs and Amar'E Hawkins as the pair were huge in Moberly's win. Jacobs went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and six steals, while Hawkins posted 11 points. Those six steals gave Jacobs a new career-high. Collin Knox was another key player, putting up ten points and eight rebounds.

Moberly smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

Mexico pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Moberly, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9.
