Basketball Recap: Twin River Comes Up Short

If Twin River was feeling good fresh off their 65-21 takedown of Dorchester last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Twin River Titans were outmatched by the Howells-Dodge Jaguars and fell 75-42. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now lost four in a row.

Twin River's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Corbin Rodriguez, who posted 12 points and three steals, and Eli Slizoski, who scored ten points. The dominant performance gave Slizoski a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Colsten Rodriguez, who put up ten points.

Twin River now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Howells-Dodge, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4.

Twin River has already played their next game, a 51-46 loss against Humphrey-Lindsay on the 13th. As for Howells-Dodge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-61 win against North Bend Central on the 13th.
