Softball Recap: Williamston Comes Up Short

Williamston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Lowell Red Arrows.

Jaiden Griffith stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with one home run. Shea O'Neil was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Williamston's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Lowell, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1.

Williamston wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 18-2 win against Haslett on the 13th. As for Lowell, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Sparta on the 12th.
