Volleyball Recap: Eldorado Beats Moapa Valley for Their Third Straight Win

Eldorado extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 6-17 in the process. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Moapa Valley Pirates. This was a revenge game for the Firehawks: when they faced off against the Pirates on Friday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Brian Nichols paced Eldorado's offense, picking up six kills. Nichols got some help from Kyan Garcia and his 14 assists. Finally, Angel Pulido kept Eldorado's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

As for Moapa Valley, they now have a losing record of 8-9. Their loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Brigham Whitmore and Spencer Stolworthy certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Whitmore had ten digs and eight kills, while Stolworthy had 21 assists and two aces. Whitmore is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had five or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Eldorado wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Hurricane on the 19th. As for Moapa Valley, they will head out to face off against Somerset Academy Losee at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
