Volleyball Recap: Hesperia Scorpions vs. Sultana Sultans

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Hills, Hesperia was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Sultana Sultans by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Hesperia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-17.

Kitana Tapopo was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 12 digs and five aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Emmy Sartoresi, who had eight digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: Hesperia was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sultana only served seven.
