Volleyball Recap: Hesperia Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Hills, Hesperia was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Sultana Sultans by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Hesperia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-17.

Kitana Tapopo was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 12 digs and five aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Emmy Sartoresi, who had eight digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: Hesperia was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sultana only served seven.

Hesperia's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-2. As for Sultana, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-6.
