Softball Recap: Florida State University High School Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Florida State University High School's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Florida Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The Seminoles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Shyla Wiley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Florida State University High School's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for North Florida Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Florida State University High School wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 22-2 win against FAMU DRS on the 9th. As for North Florida Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Leon on the 10th.
