Recap: La Junta Tigers vs. Centauri Falcons
The La Junta Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a tough 58-37 loss at the hands of Centauri. While losing is never fun, La Junta can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Centauri is ranked 109th).
La Junta's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Leyba, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Monze Alvidres, who scored 15 points.
La Junta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Centauri, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
