Baseball Recap: Western Boone Takes a Loss

Western Boone managed to slip by North Putnam the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Stars lost 7-1 to the Cougars on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Stars have suffered since April 20, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Western Boone and nudges their season record down to 16-11. As for North Putnam, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-14.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Western Boone will square off against Seeger at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Stars surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Putnam, they will face off against Parke Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
