Basketball Recap: East Lincoln Piles Up the Points Against Foard

There's no place like home for East Lincoln, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Foard Tigers 74-28. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Jaxon Dollar was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 8 on his way to 17 points in addition to six boards and six steals. Another player making a difference was Brayden Miller, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points.

East Lincoln was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foard only posted seven assists.

Despite the loss, Foard had strong showings from Nolan Herman, who posted six points, and Noah Hedrick, who earned seven points.

East Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points per game. As for Foard, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Lincoln will face off against St. Stephens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St. Stephens' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Foard, they will welcome North Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. North Lincoln will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Foard surely won't give up without a fight.
