Centennial was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Alamogordo on Thursday. The Centennial Hawks put the hurt on the Alamogordo Tigers with a sharp 48-23 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-36 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centennial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joy Hunt, who posted 11 points and five boards. Alanna Perrault was another key player, putting up five points and eight steals.

Despite the loss, Alamogordo still got an impressive performance from Teeya Gordon, who had eight points and ten rebounds. Gordon is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for Alamogordo, they dropped their record down to 3-19 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Centennial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 39-36 defeat against Mayfield on the 10th. As for Alamogordo, they have also already played their next match, a 48-44 victory against Organ Mountain on the 10th.
