Softball Game Preview: Starks Panthers vs. Lafayette Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Starks Panthers face off against Lafayette Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Starks is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

While Starks' victory against Hackberry wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mustangs 3-1.

Lafayette might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-1 to Sam Houston, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Starks' victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Lafayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9-1.
