Soccer Recap: Bastrop Takes a Loss

Bastrop lost against McCallum back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bastrop Bears came up short against the McCallum Knights, falling 5-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Bears haven't been shut out since back in January.

Bastrop has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for McCallum, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Bastrop will take on Richards School for Young Women Leaders at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bastrop is facing Richards School for Young Women Leaders at the right time seeing as Richards School for Young Women Leaders is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for McCallum, they will face off against Navarro at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
