Preview: College Park Falcons vs. Alhambra Bulldogs
College Park is 7-2 against the Bulldogs since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The College Park Falcons will look to defend their home court against the Alhambra Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
College Park had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They took down Las Lomas 74-58.
College Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Connor Whittles led the charge by scoring 18 points. Miles Smith was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Alhambra can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Miramonte by a score of 69-57. The win was just what Alhambra needed coming off of a 66-34 defeat in their prior matchup.
College Park is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Alhambra, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
College Park won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2022, slipping by the Bulldogs 63-62. Will College Park repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
