Volleyball Recap: Rifle Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rifle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Cedaredge Bruins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Jasmin Abarca Holbrook paced Rifle's offense, picking up five kills. Abarca Holbrook got some help from Kensee Boyd and her 11 assists. Boyd was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Cedaredge to victory were Neveah Erickson and Lydia Tietz. Erickson had 22 digs, while Tietz had 19 assists and five digs.

Rifle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Cedaredge, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Rifle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Steamboat Springs on the 25th. As for Cedaredge, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Rangely on the 25th.
