Volleyball Recap: Rifle Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Rifle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the Cedaredge Bruins, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Jasmin Abarca Holbrook paced Rifle's offense, picking up five kills. Abarca Holbrook got some help from Kensee Boyd and her 11 assists. Boyd was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Rifle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Cedaredge, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Coming up, Rifle will challenge Steamboat Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cedaredge, they will take on Rangely at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bruins surely won't give up without a fight.
