Volleyball Recap: Thayer Academy Comes Up Short

Thayer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the St. Mark's Lions, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, 25-17.

Naraya Dasilva paced Thayer Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Dasilva got some help from Caroline Snyder and her seven assists. Kaitlyn Butkuss controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Thayer Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for St. Mark's, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Thayer Academy will challenge rival Lawrence Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, St. Mark's is set to take on their familiar foe Governor's Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
