Recap: Faith Academy Flames vs. Live Oak Classical Falcons
The Faith Academy Flames were the 61-56 winner over the Live Oak Classical Falcons when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Faith Academy took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Live Oak Classical. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), Faith Academy still had to take the loss.
Live Oak Classical's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tristan Wilson, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Hudson Hornback, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds.
Faith Academy's loss dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Live Oak Classical, they pushed their record up to 29-5 with that victory, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season.
Faith Academy will head out on the road to face off against Round Rock Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Round Rock Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1189th, while Faith Academy is ranked 499th). Live Oak Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
