Smith County put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the York Institute Dragons by a score of 10-6. That's more bragging rights for the Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jaden Preston tossed a big game, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Jacob Lapham was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Riley Martin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Smith County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
