Baseball Recap: Waterloo Wins Going Away Against Cherokee

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Waterloo and Cherokee had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Indians on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Waterloo's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Cherokee, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Waterloo and Cherokee will both be playing Vina the next time they take the field. The Indians will head out to face the Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
