Recap: Easley Green Wave vs. Fountain Inn Fury

The Easley Green Wave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 71-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fountain Inn. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Easley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Crews, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists, and Drey Jackson who scored 21 points along with six assists and two steals. Jackson hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.

Easley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Easley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Fountain Inn, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Easley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. One thing working in Greenville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests. Fountain Inn won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Palmetto at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Palmetto has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
