Basketball Recap: Cape Elizabeth Takes a Loss

Cape Elizabeth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 42-32 to the Leavitt Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Capers of the 54-28 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Cape Elizabeth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Leavitt, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cape Elizabeth will head out to take on York at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leavitt, they are taking a road trip to face off against Maine Central Institute at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
