Basketball Recap: Ed Breazeale IV's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Renaissance Academy over Dock Mennonite

Renaissance Academy played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Dock Mennonite Pioneers, falling 64-43. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Pioneers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ed Breazeale IV, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Breazeale IV a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Cole Piccard, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Renaissance Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Dock Mennonite, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Renaissance Academy has already played their next match, a 53-28 defeat against Jenkintown on the 4th. As for Dock Mennonite, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-57 win against Faith Christian Academy on the 4th.
