Basketball Game Preview: Orion Chargers vs. Kewanee Boilermakers

The Orion Chargers will head out to square off against the Kewanee Boilermakers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Monday, Orion took a blow against Riverdale, falling 61-14. The Chargers have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kewanee, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past Mendota 58-34 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Boilermakers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won eight in a row.

Kewanee's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Orion, their loss dropped their record down to 10-20.

Orion lost to Kewanee on the road by a decisive 59-41 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Orion avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
