After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Salem Christian, New Bridge Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the James River HomeSchool Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Eagles back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

New Bridge Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-17.

New Bridge Academy's win ended a four-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-7. As for James River HomeSchool, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Coming up, New Bridge Academy will face off against Spirit HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for James River HomeSchool, they are taking a road trip to take on West End Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
