Softball Recap: Georgetown Day Falls Short of St. John's in the Playoffs

Georgetown Day and St. John squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Georgetown Day had to settle for second. They lost 15-0 to the Cadets. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Mighty Hoppers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Georgetown Day's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for St. John's, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Georgetown Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. John's, they will be taking part in a tournament against National Cathedral at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
