Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Reese Reed and Kane Bridges Lead Crisp Academy to Victory

Crisp Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 57-33 margin over the Community Christian Academy Eagles.

Crisp Academy was led to victory by Kane Bridges and Reese Reed. Bridges dropped a double-double with 14 points and 21 boards, while Reed posted 24 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joshua Holder, who earned ten points and five rebounds.

Loss or not, Community Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Kylin McDonald and Thomas Hadley. McDonald dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards, while Hadley had 12 points and six rebounds. McDonald has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Noles, who put up a point and six steals.

The victory got Crisp Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Community Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Crisp Academy will be playing at home against Southland Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Community Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-53 defeat against Central Georgia Arts on the 17th.
