Softball Game Preview: Carver Yellowjackets vs. Leadership Academy Falcons

Carver is 0-7 against Leadership Academy since April of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will face off against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Carver has given up an average of 17.7 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carver is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against Atkins, falling 16-1. On the bright side, the one- run performance marked the Yellowjackets' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Meanwhile, Leadership Academy made easy work of Atkins on Wednesday and carried off a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Leadership Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Carver might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Leadership Academy when the teams last played back in March. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
