Softball Recap: Wapsie Valley Picks Up Seventh Straight Win on the Road

Wapsie Valley strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Columbus Sailors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2024.

Wapsie Valley's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Columbus, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wapsie Valley will welcome Jesup at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Columbus, they will square off against Aplington-Parkersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
