Football Recap: Dorchester Comes Up Short at Home Against Sterling

Dorchester unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 44-25 bruising from the Sterling Jets on Friday. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Jets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Landon Shaw threw for 67 yards and one touchdown. Chase Tachovsky was his top target, picking up 67 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Carter Cerny rushed for 27 yards and one score.

Dorchester is taking a road trip to face off against Pawnee City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sterling, they will face off against Potter-Dix at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
