Georgetown will head out on the road to square off against Marlboro County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Georgetown has struggled recently with 11 losses in a row, while Marlboro County will arrive with three straight wins.

Georgetown is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Waccamaw on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bulldogs were outmatched by the Warriors and fell 48-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Warriors since October 4, 2019.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marlboro County). They blew past Aynor 57-6 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Marlboro County's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Georgetown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
