Softball Recap: Whitefish Bulldogs vs. Thompson Falls Blue Hawks
Whitefish had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 16-1 walloping at the hands of the Thompson Falls Blue Hawks on Wednesday.
For Thompson Falls' part, Sarah Koskela made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned run or hits. Koskela has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Koskela was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Addie Traver was a standout: she went 1-for-1 with three RBI, a triple, and a stolen base. Another player making a difference was MacKenzie Robinson, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
