Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cumberland Gap). They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Thomas Walker Pioneers on Saturday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

George Capps looked comfortable as he struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Tate Murphy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Kole Carter was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cumberland Gap now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Thomas Walker, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Cumberland Gap will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pioneers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
