Basketball Game Preview: Osage City Indians vs. Burlington Wildcats

The Osage City Indians will face off against the Burlington Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Osage City comes in on 11 and Burlington on five.

Last Tuesday, Osage City took their match with ease, bagging a 58-15 win over Northern Heights. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Burlington won against Anderson County on Tuesday with 47 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Burlington took down Anderson County 47-33. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly 14 points.

Osage City pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points per game. As for Burlington, their record now sits at 11-4.

Osage City was able to grind out a solid win over Burlington when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 49-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Osage City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
