Basketball Recap: Dysart Piles Up the Points Against Coronado

Dysart waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Coronado Dons, posting a 68-32 win. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Lamar Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points and seven boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Garcia, who posted nine points and three steals.

Dysart has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Coronado, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Dysart will challenge Cortez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cortez knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Dysart likes a good challenge. As for Coronado, they will face off against Desert Sunrise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
