Football Recap: San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy Eagles vs. Ballinger Bearcats
San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 61-6 loss at the hands of the Ballinger Bearcats. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Cade Strube had an outrageously good game for Ballinger as he rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 76 yards and a touchdown. Strube's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Braden Belk was another key player, rushing for 79 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries.
San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ballinger, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy will venture away from home to square off against Hyde Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ballinger, they will welcome Brady at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
