Baseball Recap: McKinney Boyd Comes Up Short

McKinney Boyd and Guyer squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but McKinney Boyd had to settle for second. They lost 7-0 to the Wildcats. The Broncos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

The defeat snapped McKinney Boyd's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-12 record. As for Guyer, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

While McKinney Boyd had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Friday.
