Volleyball Recap: McFarland Takes a Loss

McFarland was the 2-0 winner over Marshall when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Kayla Landerud paced McFarland's offense, picking up six kills. Landerud got some help from Alex Faust and her 14 assists. Rya Schreiber controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

McFarland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Marshall, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

McFarland has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against DeForest on the 6th. As for Marshall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Luther Prep on the 6th.
